Tuesday was a day of birthday celebrations and parties. We went over to Amy's to help celebrate Brooks first birthday. Everyone had a blast and Brooks made out with a TON of gifts.
We ended up celebrating Steve's birthday last night. He got a handful of gifts and we ate cake until our bellies were going to explode!

Cousins
This weekend four out of the seven cousins where together. There were many laughs, giggles and fights. That is right....fights. Ah the joys of having a 13 yr old, 8 yr old, 3 yr old and a 1 yr old wanting the same thing at the same time. Other than that... they all had a great time and were upset/sad when it was time to go.

Belated Anniversary Shout Out
Happy Belated Blog Shout Out Anniversary to the Swita's.
I still can remember your wedding like it was yesterday.... taking a ride on the back of a golf cart in my bridesmaid dress holding on to dear life...... riding in the bus to Marshfield wondering if it will make it all the way to the Golf Course without breaking down...... sweating my arse off in the NO AIR CONDITIONED church on the hottest day of the summer...... but most of all watching the two of you during your first dance.... that was magic!

Happy Belated Blog Shout Out Birthday to my Dad!
Jack, Alex and myself decided at the last minute to visit my parents, Jill, John and Danica to help celebrate my Dad's 64th birthday on Saturday!
As you can see from the video everyone had a great time. It's just too bad that the time always goes too fast when we go and visit.

Friends, Bay Beach and Sprinklers
Saturday was a day of separation....
I will start with my day....
I went to lunch with Kristen, Jamie and Heidi at Fratellos in the mid afternoon. We had many great laughs, stories and adventures. I just love getting together with these girls.... you just never know what stories will be told and heard, but you will laugh your arses off the whole time!
Steve and the boys got together with his sister Jen, Nick and Mya. They headed to Bay Beach and had a great time. I will have Steve write about the adventure in the coming hours.
We ended up meeting back home around dinner time and then we celebrated Jen's birthday with ice cream cake. After cake we decided to hose the kids off with a new sprinkler that I got at Target (Love Target!!!).

Friday
Friday evening we had our very first babysitter Denise, her husband Pete and kids Sophia, and Ella over for dinner. Denise and family moved to Finland almost three years ago. They try to make it back to the USA at least once a year (correct Denise?). Well they are back and we had the honor to have them over for dinner Friday. The kids played really well together and look how cute they are sitting at the table eating Pizza!
We are so glad that you guys came over and we hope to see you before you head back in August!
Sophia, Jack and Ella
Yumm..... pizza!

The Week...
This week has been busy yet boring, if that makes sense. We have a great weekend ahead of us which consists of getting together with old friend we haven't seen for a long time (tonight), getting together with friend because we can never agree on a date (tomorrow), getting together to celebrate a birthday and a baseball game (Sunday) to finish it off.
I am sure there will be tons of photos and stories to share Monday.
Have a great weekend!

Weekend Recap
Well this weekend was a very relaxed one. Saturday I opened the Y and then came home the boys eating lunch. Shortly after that Jill came up from Milwaukee to visit. The boys went down for a nap and Jill and I caught up on reading magazines, gossip and listening to the Cubs play ball. Then the boys woke up and it was time to play outside and help dig up plants we can not stand anymore. Ordered some dinner in and hung out some more until it was time to hit the hay.
Sunday we hung out some more and Jill was on her way back home after the boys went down for their naps. Once they woke up it was time to cut the grass and play in the backyard.
The boys got to see what it was like to listen to music with headphones. Alex had Jill's I-Touch and Jack had my I-pod and they were having a blast listening to Shake It and Go Cubs Go while sitting on the couch. They were so funny, I wish I would have video taped them... but instead you have photos to look at.

Where is my brain???
So on my way home yesterday from picking up the boys at Amy's I was getting off the ramp to get on I-43 and a piece of lumber hit the truck's hood. Not thinking anything about it (yeah I know) I forgot to tell Steve what happened.
Well...... this morning I went to work early and took the bus and Steve calls me....
S: "What happened to the truck?"
J: "I don't know why"
S: "There is a huge dent in the hood and a bunch of scratches running down it"
J: "I am not sure (seriously I still didn't remember the lumber incident)
S: "Did someone do something at work."
J: "OH Snap.... I forgot to tell you what happened on the way home last night...."
Needless to say Steve can't believe I didn't tell him and forgot about what happened. To be honest, I can't believe I forgot about it!
So Steve took the truck into Van's Honda this morning and guess how much this is going to cost to fix this.......
$675.00
OMG!!! Thank goodness for insurance. I will post pictures in the next post.

Holy Wind Storm Batman.....
So last night I was at The Bar enjoying a drink prior to playing volleyball (I am on a Monday night league) and my cell phone rings. It is Steve....
S: "Jen you won't believe what has happened to our backyard".
J: "What happened?"
S: "The kids playhouse is in Aaron and Amanda's backyard. The roof is ripped off and their fence is missing sections and the pegs are swinging in the air"
J: "WHAT"
S: "The swing set is also flipped upside down and up against the house"
J: "Are you Sh*tting me"
S: "I am not kidding I took pictures and everything"
J: "How did this happen?"
S: "You didn't hear or see it? The wind was blowing really hard and did this. The backyard looks like a mini tornado when through it"
J: " Are you sh*tting me?" "You need to call or go over to A&A's and let them know.
S: "Yeah I will.... have fun at your game and see you around midnight"
So after that conversation I walk back to the table that we were sitting at and told everyone. Great I am going to have to buy a new playhouse, swing set and who knows what. Then Amy (she plays on the team) said that she heard the wind too when she was at home (Crap I think Steve isn't goshing me).
So we play the game and of course have a couple pitchers afterwards and I head home. I look in the backyard and yep he wasn't kidding. Poor A&A's fence.... they have plastic ties holding the fence in place where the sections flew off so their dog Mia won't come into our yard.... Steve told them not to worry about the dog .... they should worry more about the boys roaming their backyard.
So here are the photos. The first one is a shot of the backyard at Alex's bday party.

Check out the fence in the back
The climber
So then Steve went home for lunch today and went into the backyard to check things out again and looked up at the roof and saw that we have shingles that are messed up. So now we have to deal with that.
Geesh.... I just wish I could have seen all this happen. Can you imagine watching your stuff flying all over your backyard and over a fence?

Awesome Park
So I have lived in Green Bay for almost 12 years and I finally found this awesome park.
It is only 10 minutes from our house on the way to Sturgeon Bay/Door County.
Jack has been into the whole pirate thing for about 6 months now. He tries to talk like one, LOVES the Backyardigans episode about pirates and sings the songs all the time. He has pirate battles with my dad back home and in GB. So when I heard about this park we decided Sunday to take a drive and find it.
Well we found it and Jack had a BLAST. Alex was enjoying himself also on the slides and steering the boat/ship wheel (I am sure that is not the technical term, but it will make due) this is what it looks like.....
