Family Gathering

This past Saturday Steve's mom's siblings got together for a little cookout. Steve and Jack attended while Alex and I stayed home. Alex is having his ups and downs with his molars coming in so we thought it would be better to have him have his meltdowns at home and not at an assistant living facility.

Here are some picture of Jack and Mya.

Jack loves this stuff.... must take after his mom.

Arriving home after the long day.

Fireworks

So the kids and yes even the adults where ready for some fireworks. Chad came over with Rebecca and Theresa and a few handful of fireworks to add to our collection. Chad took charge and started lighting off fireworks around 8:30. Alex missed out this year again because he felt sleep was more important.... silly boy!

As Chad was lighting the fireworks Jayden instantly became his best friend. After a firework was done doing it's thing Jayden would look at my brother and say "Uncle Chad can we have more".... "do another one". It was so darn cute then the other kids would chime in and soon it was all five kids at the same time saying "do another". Then of course Chad started to light off a few "big" ones that made me worry that Alex would wake up.... but he didn't probably because I thought ahead and put him in our room in a pack n play, turned on our bathroom exhaust fan and had this bear turned on that plays "white noise". Call me crazy, but hey my kid needs his sleep plus he is teething. :(

So after we went through our loot Chad and the girls where off to see the City of GB fireworks downtown. The rest of us stayed at the house and we stared a bone fire in the driveway to watch the neighborhood show. Let me tell you my neighbors have some of the best fireworks. They go all out especially this one guys who is LOADED and probably spent five figures on these things. So we watched and enjoyed the show with marshmallows on sticks in hand.

All in all the day and night were a success and we can not wait for next year!

And the big finale...

4th of July Party

The Fourth of July was a warm one here in Green Bay. We had our friends the Smits' and Julie Radke (her husband Mark was unable to join us) over at our house. We sat in the backyard munching on Chips and Salsa, Watermelon, Chex Mix and of course yummy beverages (well not Julie... she is preggers) and had great conversation and watched the kids play. After a few hours Julie had to leave to go to another party and the rest of us made kabobs and drank some more. Then the kids played some more, we had more laughs, stories and drinks. Then night fell and the sky lit up with color.... see next post for more on that.

What is this? Do you think I have enough hats on to block the sun?

Does anyone remember parachute?

and more... I think the big kids enjoyed it more than the little kids.

Helping Dad

Thursday after the trip to the Zoo, Steve and the boys decided to wash the van. The boys were soaking from head to toe but had a great time helping out dad. At some point Jack was just spraying the hose at anything and anyone. So I am pretty sure anytime that Steve wants to wash either vehicles he will have two little guys helping him out.

The Zoo

I have to vent.... seriously I am going to do something horrible if I can't find out a way to get these pictures to face the right way. Okay I am better now (not really).

Today we took the boys to the NEW Zoo in Suamico (Green Bay). This was Alex's first trip and Jack's third. They had a blast looking at the animals, feed the giraffes (both boys go to do this and Jack even petted the giraffe) and playing on the playgrounds in the zoo. Then we had lunch and off we were to ride the Merry Go Round.

Merry Go Round Time

Yum, Hot Dogs two days in a row!

Love the Double Stroller

Can I get a ride too?!

All about Ryan Sandberg

Okay I am not sure if you know this or not, but my family (parents, sisters, brother and now my kids and hubby) are HUGE Cub fans. Yeah, I didn't think you knew that. :)

Well Ryan Sandberg is the coach for the Peoria Chiefs (Yeah I already told you that in the last post) and if you didn't know he use to be the second baseman for the Chicago Cubs.

So this is all for you Suellyn, Jill and Mom. The things you do for family. :) :) :)

Our tickets where right next to the dugout and I got to see him every inning entering and leaving the dugout. He is the third base coach when they are up to bat.

Yes, Suellyn he is still quiet good looking and even better in person.

Enjoy!

Seriously why are theses pictures doing this???!!!!!!

I had to take these pictures..... nothing like taking things from the Cubs to rub off good luck! If you can't tell... the Cubs logo and name are on the bat weight and I think it is the bat rag/sander (Jill I am sure you will be able to give me the correct name)

Now for the fun stuff..... again Suellyn this is for you. :)

and this....
