We spent Thanksgiving at my parents this year. We all had a great time and Steve and I were able to sneak away for a dinner date Friday night (thanks Mom).
We always get our Christmas tree this weekend and this year was no exception. We have been going to Hediger's for the past 20 plus years but unfortunately they were not open this year. So this year we went to R&S Tree Farm and we were not sure what to expect. So we got dressed in warm clothes and Steve, Jack and I were off.
But of course before we left we had to make sure Alex was getting my parents house ready for the big tree.
But of course before we left we had to make sure Alex was getting my parents house ready for the big tree.
While he waited for us he entertained everyone with a little music.
We arrived at R&S and were delighted to find out that we would be taking a hayride to the trees.
After about 30 minutes we found our tree and my parents too.
Loaded them on the trailer
And we were off back to the van. Jack wanted to make sure the tree didn't fall off so he was using his muscles to make sure it stayed on the trailer.
Then it was time to use the baler to wrap the tree for its long ride on top of the van back to Green Bay. We had a great time and we would go back to R&S if Hedigers is no longer in business.
We got the tree up at our house and the boys started to decorate it Sunday. Funny how they seem to want to put all the ornaments in one spot on the tree.
I forgot to take a picture of the tree after it was completed. I will try to do so tomorrow and add it to the blog.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and just think Christmas is only 24 days away!!!
