Belated Anniversary Shout Out

Happy 38th Anniversary to Dad and Mom!!!

Their Anniversary was on the Friday, Sept 26th.

Birthday Shout Out

Happy 2nd Birthday Julia!

Random Pictures

Here are some random pictures from the past week.

We found Jack sleeping like this with three pillows.

Giving Jack a haircut in our bedroom. He had to have a "show" on while I clipped away. Hey whatever works and saves me $15.

"Hey Mom can I help shave Jack's head?"

He loves his Oreos

Baking with Grandma H

A week ago my parents came to town and it was the time of the year to make Apple Strudel (family tradition). Jack was EXCITED and couldn't wait to help Gma H bake.

Gma and Jack spreading out the flour

"Look at what happens when I clap my hands together when they are coated with flour."

Jack and Alex crushing rice krispies

Alex working hard... check out that face.

Well needless to say I wasn't thinking because that is all of the photos. I didn't even take a picture of the fun parts of this wonderful dessert. Next year.

But I can say the kids had a BLAST and got full of flour from head to toe. I can just imagine what my kitchen and floor will look like for Christmas cookies.

Hanging out with the Girls and Chad

Saturday I got back into town around noon and Chad ended up calling me within 15 minutes of returning. Wanted to know if I could watch Theresa for a few hours (Rebecca was at a friends house). I of course said sure. Well you see Julia ended up sticking a peanut up her nose and he couldn't get it out so a trip the the ER was in order (Ah.. the fourth ER trip for the Hadzima family this year.... Johnathan, Alex, Johnathan and Julia). So Jack and I went to pick up Theresa and came back to the house. Jack and Alex took a nap and Theresa hung out with Steve and I.

Theresa played a little t-ball

Then later I picked up Rebecca from her friends house since it was in our subdivision and Julia was still taking her nap after her ER visit. A bit later Chad and Julia showed up with dinner. The kids played while we watched the Cubs/Brewers game.

The Big Celebration

I made it down to Milwaukee by 4:30 Thursday to take Jill out for dinner. She chose Red Robin (mmmmm... LOL) and I would post pictures of her and her Tiki glass and her bday sundae but they are on her camera and who knows when I will get them from her. Anyhoo... so after we ate we went back to her place and watched Greys Anatomy and that was the end of the big day. Note: This is what she wanted to do..... she was taking it slow because she had two more days to celebrate with friends.

Jill during Greys

Friday Jill and I got up and headed to Pleasant Prairie to the Outlet Mall. Did a few hours of shopping and then headed back to Milwaukee to relax and get ready to pick up Jill's friend Leslie from the airport (Leslie lives in AZ and flew in to help celebrate and to see her family). So after picking Leslie up we waited for Karina to show up and then we headed to Miller Park for the Cubs vs Brewers (Yes, another Cubs game... what can I say we are die hards).

We parked the Pilot and got our tailgating all ready when we realized that Karina forgot the chairs (LOL) so we got creative and sat in the back of the Pilot, the cooler and then the couple parked next to us had an extra chair and offered it to us (there are nice Brewer fans :D). So then we popped the cooler open and started drinking.... and ate and continued to drink, drink and drink.

Karina and Jill (Can you believe she has FOUR kids??)

Then after we ate and drank Leslie got our dessert out. Let me tell you about dessert... Leslie brought these cupcakes from a shop in AZ. She carried these on her flight and can I tell you I fell in love with this girl. These cupcakes are to DIE FOR!!! They are from Sprinkle Cupcakes (check out their website) and they are FABULOUS!

So back to the story... Karina and Leslie had a little surprise for Jill and her cupcake. (Check the video. I was laughing so hard because the lady in the background saw the cupcake and shouted "How old is she... 90?!")

Then this happened to her cupcake.... a little candle top heavy.

Leslie, Jill, Karina, me and our cupcakes, well the rest of Jill's.

So we finally got into the game and of course we had a great time.

Jill and her new Scottish friend

So after the game we went back to Jill's and got ready to go out downtown.

So we got downtown, parked the car and was ready to get out when Leslie realized that she forgot her DL at Jill's! WHAT THE HECK LESLIE!!!! We had Rockstar parking!!! But then I remembered.... CUPCAKES... I love this girl.

So we headed back to Jill's, retrieved the DL and headed to a different bar... got almost their and we all just wanted to go to bed so we turned around and went to bed. PARTY ANIMALS!!

All in all it was a great time and I hope Jill you had a memorable 30 birthday! Love ya

CUBS vs BREWERS

Big series starts tonight in Wrigley Field.... Brewers vs Cubs.

Lunch is on the line once again with one of my co-workers. He wants payback from the last series. Four free lunches.... ah... that was great! Hopefully I will get three more this series.

Today's apparel at Daycare.... (I should explain that the Knutson's are die hard Brewer fans.)

Don't worry buddy, we'll still be friends and I will get you a Cubs shirt for Xmas.

Boys and their lawn mowers

Sunday late afternoon Steve decided to cut the grass for the first time in 4 weeks (no rain, no growth... finally rain last week .... growth!). So Jack and Alex were excited to help dad out. It was so funny watching them.... Alex would just stop mowing and yell at Steve thinking he could hear him.

The Weekend

This weekend we did nothing which was FABULOUS! Melissa and the boys came over Sunday for a few hours and the boys just loved it. Sorry for the sideway pictures...

The Boys Club

I forgot we had this blow up jumper and decided to blow it up for the boys. We are happy to report that there were no injuries. :)

Our 5 dollar purchase off Craigslist... good enough until x-mas.

Who is that Monkey???

It's ALEX

Hey, I wore that for my second Halloween too!

Mom he went that way....

Remembering

September 11, 2001 I was in Chicago for work, working a trade show. I was getting ready in my hotel room when I was watching the Today show and they just reported the first plane hitting the tower. I couldn't take my eyes off the TV. I ended up meeting the rest of the group and hopped into the car and drove to the McCormick Center. On the way their we had the radio on listening and discussing with each other. Then we arrived at the Center and we weren't their for more than 15 minutes and we were on a lock down. Luckily someone had a TV on in their booth and I kid you not there was about 100 people standing around that TV watching and listening to every word and movement. We just couldn't believe what happened.

So hug/shake the hand of a firefighter, police office and a soldiers family.
