Alex's 9 Month Appointment

Here are the measurements of my little dude at 9 months.

Length: 29 3/8" (84 percentile)

Weight: 22lbs 11oz (81 percentile)

Head Circumference: 46.3cm (78 percentile)

Dr Missbach says that Alex is one healthy and growing boy! Everything looks great and that he will see him at his 12 month appointment.
I will have to pull Jack's stats and compare the two.

Week Update

Monday:

The boys had their first swim lessons of the session at the Y. Jack loved it as always and it was Alex's first time. Alex was a bit on edge... there were more tears then smiles. Which to us seemed strange since he LOVES the water.

Tuesday:

We took Alex into the doctors office after work because he just wasn't himself and had a really sad day at Amy's. Well what do you know.... he has an ear infection (maybe that is why he didn't enjoy swim lessons).

Wednesday:

The boys and I had a great night. We inherited Johnathan's Fisher Price Power Wheel Motorcycle a year ago and it needed a new battery. Well, I finally purchased the batteries (yes you need 2... grrr) and charged them the past two days and lets just say Jack LOVES it. He didn't want to get off of it and wanted to keep driving around the basement. He drives like a pro except for a few crashes (one being with Alex in his walker.... little man just can't go faster than that darn motorcycle). Then he found the "high" (fast) button and he thought was the "king". Me being the horrible mother that I am told him he could only use the "high" button when he drives outside this spring/summer. His response.... "but mom I want to go fast now".

Thursday:

This afternoon we have Alex's 9 month doctor's appointment. I will post all the details tomorrow.

I will post some pictures shortly from the last few weeks.

Trouble comes in 4

Yesterday Jack and Alex spent the day at G&G V's house. Nick and Mya were in town visiting G&G V so the four of them got to spend a day playing and driving G&G nuts! :)

Here is a picture of the four of them in their pj's.

It's back....

A Honda vehicle that is. Steve, Jack, Alex and I are proud owners of a Honda Pilot. It is so nice to be back into a Honda. We came across a deal that we couldn't pass up over the weekend and traded the Malibu Maxx in. So last night it became offical and Jack and I drove it home. He LOVES his new truck. On the way home he said "this truck is cool". Attached is a photo that we took before we drove it into the snow, slush and crud. I must say I look "hot" driving this!!! :) LOL.

The Weekend

We were planning on making a trip to Neillsville to visit the folks but they decided to make a trip up here instead. Friday they showed up around 7pm and Jack was a very happy clam! He was roaring to go until we made him go to sleep which was around 9pm (okay that is late for us!). Saturday morning Jack was up early (5:30am) and pumped to play with Grandma and Grandpa. I was up and told him he had to wait to wake them up so shortly after that Steve woke up and I went to the Y for a quick workout and when I arrived home Jack got to wake everyone up. G&G H finally understood why when I would talk to them on the phone why they kept hearing me say "ouch". Alex was running their toes over while running all over the place in his walker. Jack had a full day hanging out with Grandpa. They spent the day playing, filling his (and Alex's) coin jars and cuddling while watching cartoons. I think Jack's favorite part was taking a nap with Grandpa in the basement on the air mattress. After nap time Chad, Rebecca and Theresa came over and the kids played for awhile. Then G&G decided to head back to Neillsville so they could miss the snow storm. Sunday we were home bodies due to the 7" of snow we got throughout the day. I think maybe one person on our street left their house all day. I will add pictures later.

Update

So I know it has been a while since I have actually written anything, so here is my update. Last Friday night Steve worked at the Y and the boys and I hung out. Saturday I opened the Y and then Steve took the boys to his parents house for the night because it was Steve's company party that evening. Steve returned around 2pm from dropping the boys off and we layed on the couch and watched shows that we Tivo'd. At 5:30 we had to start getting ready to leave since the party started at 6. It was a challange just to do that since we were enjoying laying around in our sweats. Sunday we picked the boys up and had yet another lazy day. Monday the boys played with G&G V as we worked. Tuesday Alex wasn't feeling too well so I stayed home with him and we had a mommy and Alex day. Poor guy is getting yet another tooth (number 7) and on top of that he had a cold (runny nose, fever, cough, etc). Wednesday Alex was feeling much better and we sent him to Amy's and I had to return to work :(

So you are caught up and hopefully it won't take me so long to write a post. Again, Happy V-Day!

Happy "Hearts" Day

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone from the boys!

Jack was so excited last night when he recieved his Valentine's Day card from G&G H that he "had to bring it to show all his friends at Amy's" today. Sure enough as soon as we walked into the door at Amy's he asked for his card (and Alex's too) and showed her. Then Ally woke up before I left and he took off running to show her the cards. Then she too had to carry around her card (Brooks' too) that she got from her Grandparents. I can't wait to see his excitement when he gets his card from us tonight and if he gets anymore in the mail.

Weekend in Review

Not much went on with us this past week and weekend. Jack helped mom bake some cookies (or should I say eat the dough) last week. This weekend we didn't do too much. Sunday Melissa and the boys came over for a few hours, which they all had a blast playing and chasing each other around. Enjoy the pictures!
