Halloween at the Y

Saturday night was Halloween at the Y. Steve and I took the boys and they had a great time. Jack on the way home even thanked us for taking them. Steve and I laughed because we thought it was quite lame (not nice to say considering I work their part time).... but hey whatever make the boys happy right?

Bath Time

Here are the boys from bath time on Wednesday. They have so much fun splashing around. Alex tries so very hard to do what Jack does.... can you tell?

I had to post this one.... how could I not??

Dad's on a Trip

Last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Steve was in New York for work. The boys and I had a great time hanging out and keeping busy.

Here is a video of the boys eating and wishing Steve a good night... well one of them at least.

Here are the boys tackling Steve Thursday night when he got home. Can you tell they missed him?

The Big Cut

Tonight we did it.... we buzzed Alex's hair. I just couldn't stand spending $18 every four weeks to get his hair cut and it is just out of control. So we brought the clippers out, snapped on the #2 blade and off it went. Alex did a fabulous job of just sitting and not making a peep. Afterwards he was so proud that he just keep rubbing his head and smiling.

You've Just Been Boo'd

Tonight we Boo'd three of our neighbors.... the Friedman's, Landry's and Van Haren's.

Jack had a blast dropping the special package, ringing the door bell and taking off running back home before they got to their doors.

Sneaking up to the Friedman's driveway

Walking to the door.

Mission accomplished.

Apple Orchard and a Wagon Ride

Today we went to Apple Creek Orchard. Steve's Aunt and Uncle own this apple orchard business and they got together with a neighbor of theirs and they were giving hayrides with a stop at a pumpkin patch (you got a free pumpkin with the ride). We ended up meeting Steve's sister Jen and her kids Nick and Mya. It was a fun time minus the cold weather (we are still trying to figure out how the temperature was 15 degrees colder at the orchard from when we left the house).

Before the hayride the kids feed some animals.

What do you do to a scary pirate?

Well make them walk the plank!

Well here are my crazy silly boys trying on their Halloween costumes.

As you can tell Alex is a Monkey and Steve and Jack are Pirates! Errrrr

Who do you think is enjoying dressing up more???

Friday

Today so far the kids and I have had a great busy day. This morning we decided to take pictures of each other and then after that we ran to Target and got a bunch of much needed home stuff.

Say Cheese

Jack took this picture if you couldn't tell.

Oh yeah, I changed my hair color if you didn't notice. I got it done on Wednesday.... Do you like? Be honest!

Then we got back from Target and played out front for a bit and took some pictures by the pumpkins. Yes that is a pumpkin hat.... I had a lady say it was a cute carrot hat. Duh.... Fall/Halloween time lady (well that is what I wanted to say to her).

Then we came inside to warm up and watched Dora and Diego while I got lunch ready. I saw this on "Oh My Word" blogsite a couple months ago and I thought it was cute and I wanted to give it a shot.

Jack saw this...
and got all excited. I wasn't sure if it was going to fly or not but a few minutes later I got my answer...
It was a hit. Both boys cleaned out the mini muffin pans. Then when we were getting cleaned up Jack asked if we could do this again. Success!!
Have a great weekend!

Father of the Year Right Here....

Okay so I love reading Perez Hilton.

This is one of the many things I read today and I just had to share it.

You're not going to believe this!
Randy Lewis of Tennessee decided it might be a good idea to drink fifteen beers.
Now, fifteen beers, though loaded with calories, is a perfectly acceptable way to spend your Sunday, as long as you're of the age to do so.
We give Lewis points for acknowledging his incapacitation. Those points and then some, however, are immediately revoked by his decision to tell a 10-YEAR-OLD BOY to get behind the wheel of a 1995 Ford Windstar van.
That puts Lewis at a -100.
Whipping the van up to 90mph, the boy, of course, flipped and totaled it. Fortunately, the THREE OTHER PASSENGERS - two of which were children - escaped the crash and were taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries.
There was another adult in the car who let this happen???? Yes, see below!
Lewis admitted to officers that he even knocked back a few more at the crash site and his female companion, Paula Evans, was seen eating pills.
That's another -500 points!
The pair were hit with drunk driving, reckless endangerment, and child abuse.
We're sure Lewis' shirt was a hit at the country jail.
That's another -500!!!!!
It's easy to see that this all adds up to MAJOR FAIL.
We couldn't make this shiz up even if we tried!!!
