Sprinkler Time

Here are just a few pictures of the boys playing in the sprinkler from last week.

CUBS GAME

Wednesday, August 20th

So every year Chad buys a crap load of tickets to a game in July/August. This year Steve, Jill and I joined them. It ends up being Chad, about six Firefighters, my cousin Jeff and anyone else who wants to join in.

Steve was already in Chicago Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for a work conference. So I drove down to Milwaukee and picked up Jill. We drove to Chicago checked into our hotel and went to O'Hare to pick up Steve at his hotel. We proceeded to drive to Wrigley Field to meet up with the gang.

I love this....
Once we parked we ended up at the Cubby Bear for a few drinks before the game. Once the gates opened we headed to the bleachers to claim our spots.... great seats in center field.

So we proceeded to have our hot dogs, nachos, peanuts and a few beers (check out Jill's stack of cups in the pictures).

We started to get a bit giddy (dang beers)

Then the game ended and we headed to Murphy's Bleachers. Ended up staying for one and then proceeded to Sluggers.
Cubs ended up loosing the game if you wanted to know. Ask any of us and we couldn't tell you how. Too much talking, drinking, and hanging out with our new bleacher buddies.
On our way we ran into an old friend.....

Lets go back in time.... McDonalds... this is the McD's that we would park at when we were kids when we would go to games.

Jill and a guy who was hitting on her. So picture this.... Jill sitting at the bar and this guy starts hitting on her. All is good but then if you looked to Jill's right there was Chad, Jeff, Steve, me and two other members of our group staring at them. No phone number given.
So after leaving the bar at 2:30am we decided to grab a bite to eat at Clarks. Then it was off to the hotel.... luckily the others sobered up before we left.... I on the other hand passed out in the car on the way to the hotel. Woke up just as we pulled in (3:30am) and proceeded to the room, crawled into bed and passed out once again. Woke up the next morning feeling great... no seriously I felt great, no headache, no puking, nothing... just a bit hungry.
Ah... can't wait for next year!!

Bad Blogger..

That is what I am. Things have been so crazy that I just haven't had time to blog. So I am going to attempted to update you on what has been going on since my last post (well the important stuff).

Saturday, Aug 16th - Projekt Revolution

Jill, Johnathan and I made our way down to Alpine Valley for the concert. We arrived early, got rockstar parking and hung out until the gates opened. Once we entered the gates we upgraded our lawn seating to actually sitting 39 rows from the stage (awesome seats for an extra $10). Johnathan bought a very cool zip up sweatshirt (if it ever disappears you better check Jill's closet because I won't have it.... ;-D) The opening acts were okay, Chris Cornell was great and then Linkin Park was AWESOME as always. So all in all I believe Johnathan enjoyed his very first concert... mission accomplished.

I would post pictures but Jill hasn't sent me the pictures yet so once I get those I will include them.

The weekend

I thought I would post a few pictures from this week of the boys.

This weekend is going to be a fun one!

I am leaving my three boys home and I am heading to Milwaukee with my nephew Johnathan. Once we arrive we are picking up my sister Jill and we are off to Alpine Valley to see Projekt Revolution Tour featuring Linkin Park, Chris Cornell, The Bravery, Ashes Divide.

Johnathan is pumped and roaring to go. I will try to take pictures and post them next week.

I am not sure what Steve and the boys are planning on doing this weekend without me (probably throw a party and have some babes come over) but I will post that too.

Have a great weekend!

Comments

There are days where we wonder if anyone is reading our blog. Then after a few posts we see a Comment.

We love comments.... so please leave one or two or a few.

After this weekend we didn't realize how many people actually read this blog. This is only because we were at a wedding and a handful people said "I read your blog".

So please feel free to leave a comment.... it won't hurt we promise. :)

Belated Birthday Shout Outs

This shout out is for a Mom and Daughter.

Their birthdays where the 5th and 10th of this month. (Slacking, I know).

This Sunday Allyson had a birthday party with an inflatable bounce house. Jack had a BLAST!!! He talked about it all night, especially the part when the house started to come down and Kristen pulled me out before I got stuck in it.... oh yeah and also the bubble lawn mower. :)

Jack giving Allyson her card.

Packer Family Night

Packer Family Night started off with a bang....

A storm decided to make its way to GB right when the gates opened so there were 56,000 people standing around inside the stadium waiting to get to their seats.

This is what it looked like on my left..

So after standing around for about an hour we decided to start taking some pictures of ourselves. (My nephew Johnathan got to join us for the game and will be staying with us for the week..... can you believe he is 13???!!!! Jack was so excited to have Johnathan join us.)

(oh yeah, momma got a new hair cut Friday.... like?!?!)

Then finally 10-15 minutes after the game was suppose to start we were able to go to our wet seats.

Then around 9pm the scrimmage ended and there was a drawing to win the players jerseys. Needless to say we did not win one (Oh... darn).

Then the best part of the night came.... they(the employees of Lambeau Field) shut all the lights off in the stadium and oooo.... aaaaaa.... FIREWORKS. Those were so cool.... one of the highlights of my night. Then we fought the 56K people to get to our car and got home at 11PM (the latest Jack has ever stayed up) and got Jack to bed by 11:15PM and before we knew it, it was 6AM and off we were to another week. (I apologize to Amy if Jack was sassy, crabby or a plan ol' pain in the bum today at daycare.)

So all in all, Jack and Johnathan had a blast at Lambeau Field. It was very cool to watch my little guy (and Johnathan too) enjoy themselves watching the football players. At one point of the night Jack asked me if he "could play there one day when he gets bigger." I of course said "HECK NO" you're going to be playing in Wrigley Field one day.... Oh wait... I said that in my head... my response was.... "maybe little man".
Before I forget... thanks to the Bardwell's for saving us a parking spot in front of their house... we owe you big time!
