This Weekend

The boys and I headed to Nville Friday after lunch. We ended up unloading the "bus" (that is what Jack calls the van) and headed right outside. Grandpa H, Jack and Alex took a walk and on their walk Jack was throwing rocks into big water puddles. Saturday was a crappy day so we stayed inside and played hard. Sunday we took off right after lunch and got back to GB around 3ish. All in all the boys had a blast playing the Grandpa and Grandma. Steve on the other hand enjoyed his "quiet time" alone.

Up to Nothing...

Not much has been going on with us. Last night I went out with Amy and had a fantastic dinner at Little Tokyo and then met my friend Kevin at a "hole in the wall bar" for a drink and some conversation. Sorry again Amy for that. :) Jill, Kevin thinks you are the perfect woman... he just wishes you were 15 years older... ha ha ha (Kevin is 49 years old).

This weekend the boys and I are heading to Neillsville to hang out with the parents and hopefully see my buddy Foster and his three boys and my friend Kim and her two boys (Gee there must have been something in the water back home for all of us to have boys.... actually most of my high school friends have boys.... hmmmm). Steve is staying back hoping the weather will be nice so he can get some things done outside.... if the weather is poopie... don't worry I have my list of things for him to do in the house... hee hee hee.

Outside

Sunday we were able to play outside in the pebbles, take a bike ride, and rake the lawn. The boys enjoyed themselves on the swingset. Alex had a blast as you can see...

Helping Out

Here is Jack showing off his families colors! Alex will have his own post later this week when I try on his colors!

Also here he is helping Dad put his night stand together.

The Mall

So here is the Mall and IKEA. We had din-din at Red Robins at Woodfield Mall. Then we were off to IKEA so I could pick up Jack's new dresser and night stand (pictures to follow of these items).

The Weekend

Well the weather sucked this weekend.... but we had a blast.

Saturday I opened the Y and worked out after my shift. Then it was off to home to shower and get Jack ready for the Backyardigans Live show in Appleton at the PAC. We went with Amy, Ally and six other people. This was Jack's first "big" show and he was terrific. He sat, watched and interacted. It was so much fun watching him enjoy himself. At the end of the performance the first thing out of his mouth was "Again". I would show you pictures but I got yelled at for taking a picture with my camera. I guess there was a sign that said NO CAMERAS. Stupid rules! :) After we got back home I was off again trying to get ready for Steve and Jen Date Night. Our friend Heidi came over to watch the boys so Steve and I could join our dear friends the Smits celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary. We met them at Fratellos for wine and food and then we were off to watch the band Dot, Dot, Dot at The Bar. The band was fantastic and everyone had a very good time. The liquor was flowing and us girls were dancing machines.

Sunday we went and dropped the boys off at G&G V's and Steve and I were off to Appleton to buy some new shoes for the run and then we went for some Mexican food for lunch. After a filling meal we picked the boys up and headed back home to play and play and play.

I Must be Crazy

I think I have lost my mind. Steve got me to sign up to run the Bellin Run this year. It is a six mile, I think six mile.... crap I don't even know for sure.... what have I gotten myself into, run on June 14th. They are expecting around 10,000 people this year (if not more). I am not a runner.... I have never liked to run nor have I ever ran anything before unless you count playing flag football, softball, volleyball, basketball or kickball. I am a competitive person when it comes to sports so this should be interesting. Guess who will be starting to hit the Y every morning until this is over. I am already two weeks late on the training.... YIKES! Wish me luck!!! I just hope to finish in a little over an hour.... is that realistic or should I be able to do that faster?? We will see!

Snips and Giggles

Last Thursday we took Alex to get his first "real" haircut at Snips and Giggles. A few months back we ran into our friends Denise, Eric and their son Carter at Target and they told us about this place. So after she emailed me pictures I thought heck lets try it out. Since I cut (okay shave) Jack's head because he has CRAZY hair when it goes longer than half an inch I didn't want to mess with Alex's hair since it has come in so nicely. This place is really cool. The kids get to chose between a police car or a pink airplane. They have a TV on the wall in front of them so the kids can watch Diego, Cars or whatever movie/show they have playing. Alex did a fantastic job, no tears or screams.... he was too busy checking everything out. Jack was a bit jealous because he wanted to sit in the police car but was okay with sitting in the airplane while Alex got his hair cut.

The Weekend

This weekend went by quickly. The weather was fabulous and we got to enjoy it quiet a bit.

Friday Jack, Alex and I went to visit Steve at work and then returned home to get a phone call to join Pam, Will and Anna at the Y for the Rainbow Rompers class. Jack had a blast and did not want to leave when it was over. We got home had lunch and the kids took their nap. After that we went for two strolls around the neighborhood, well Jack rode his bike and I pushed Alex in his stroller. Then before we knew it Steve was home from work and we played a bit more outside and then called it a night.

Saturday we ended up taking Alex into Urgent Care because he was up with the barking cough and also he was just not himself so we to see if he had an ear infection and of course he didn't, but we were told he had swollen vocal cords that were red and irrigated (you think?!). So then we went home had lunch and the boys went down for their naps. While they were napping, Steve and I went outside to do some landscaping. The boys woke up and played outside for a bit and then before we knew it, it was dinner time. Later on that night I ended up working a Lock-In at the Y for a 4-H group from 8pm til 8am Sunday morning. So while I was their I got to watch Gone Baby Gone (on my portable DVD player and in my opinion it is a great movie) and catch up on some TV shows online. I also got to figure out what bushes and plants I want to plant this spring around the house.

Sunday I got home and Steve was nice enough to take the boys to his parents house for a few hours so I could get a few hours of sleep. It is crazy how you can be up for 28 hours and when you want to sleep it takes forever for it to happen. So, the boys returned and we played and played, had dinner and then got a treat from Culver's before bedtime (The joys of having a Culver's five blocks away).

Then I press Publish Post and bam that is what happens (See the last three posts). Please I beg of you, someone help me before I go crazy (well crazier than I already am).

This is Three

So Jack and Alex where having a putz (bath) one night last week and Steve and Jack where having the conversation on how many is three.

Getting Close

Alex is getting close to walking, which is hard to believe considering it took Jack until he was 13 months to walk. Alex has taken a couple steps here and there. Here he is taking a stab at it... he is not holding onto the walking toy. And yes he is okay after colliding with the walker.

This is How it is Done

Jack was playing with one of his new favorite toys from his birthday and Steve wanted to take a turn. This is so funny and cute I had to post it.

Fukudome

Granted the outcome of the game wasn't what we were looking for but dang that was a good game (well at least a good 9th inning).

Outstanding performance by Fukudome.... hopefully he will play that way for the entire season!

Jack's Birthday Party Part II

Here are a few pictures from Jack's birthday party with the Hadzima family. Jack scored with some awesome gifts. He got the Smart Cycle, ESPN baseball tee, Animal Planet Dinosaurs, puzzles and a speadway.
